Double Black Belt Seminar
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu master Nino "Elvis" Schembri and Alexandre Novães will be conducting a seminar on Sunday, November 22. The seminar will be held in the Berekeley High School gymnasium just before the no-gi competition.

The seminar will be conducted from 9-11 am before the no-gi competition.


Seminar Registration
If you are a competitor of the Bay Area Open 2 (BAO2), the seminar fee is $50 if you pre-register or $70 if you decide to pay at the door the day of the seminar. All non-BAO2 competitors can pay $60 if they pre-register or $80 at the door.

All academies are invited to participate in the Bay Area Open 2 (BAO2) Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament that will be held on December 12 and 13, 2009 in Berkeley, California. This event is a fundraiser to help support the Berkeley High School Wrestling Team and is sponsored by the Berkeley Athletic Fund (BAF), a non-profit organization. The BAO2 will be a gi tournament on Saturday, December 12 and a no-gi tournament on Sunday, December 13. All competitors will get to compete in at least two matches and will receive a limited edition tournament t-shirt. Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each division.

Registration closes on at 12:00 am on December 8, 2009. You will not be able to compete if your registration is not received by this date.

On Saturday September 26th, Unlimited Kickboxing will host another Submission Wrestling event. It will be a round robin format so competitors will have multiple matches.

Weigh-ins start at 10:30am. Participation fee is $20 ($30 on day of event) and spectators are $5.
