Entry cost: $50 for one event
$60 for two events (includes entry fee for any absolute div.)

Rules:
1. All competitors shall conduct themselves in a cordial and respectful manner at all times.
2. There will be no drugs, tobacco, alcohol, smoking or swearing allowed on or near the premises of competition. Any competitor or team breaking this rule will be asked to leave the premises without refund of their entrance and/or admission fee.
3. Gi must be wrist length on the sleeves and pants no higher than the just above the ankle. Karate gi’s will not be allowed.
4. Gi must be clean and non-tattered without rips.
5. Rash guards are required for gi-less competition and must be clean and in good condition. Board shorts, gi pants or fight shorts will be permitted.
6. Attire with zippers, buttons or offensive material will not be permitted. Loose t-shirts and jewelry will not be permitted.
7. Wrestling singlets will be permitted for gi-less events, however wrestling shoes will not.
8. Groin protection is optional and must be worn under clothing to manufacture’s instructions.
9. Tape can be applied to fingers, toes and wrist only and all braces must be of the soft neoprene or cloth style without metal or other hard support devices.
10. Mouth pieces are optional and must fit properly without exposed parts following manufacture’s instructions.
11. Illegal moves and/or tactics:
Strikes of any kind.
Slamming your opponent into the mat this includes takedowns.
Fingers to the face and/or throat.
Heel hooks, toe holds, small joint manipulation, and neck or spinal
cranks.
Pinching, biting or hair pulling on any part of the body.
12. Ways to win:
Submission- Legal submission ends the match immediately.
Outscore your opponent- The competitor with the highest points at the
end of regulation match time will be awarded
the victory. In the event of a tie or scoreless, a
sudden death 2 minute overtime will start
after a 2 minute rest period. If there is a
tie after overtime, the referee will award the
victory to the competitor that most effectively
tried to score points and secure a submission.
The final decision will be based solely on the
Referee’s discretion and will be final.
13. Legal Submissions: Armbars, shoulder locks, wrist lock, chokes, knee bars,
Straight ankle locks
14. Referee Stoppage- In the interest of safety the referee has the authority to end a match due to illegal move and /or tactic or due to a competitor not de-
fending themselves appropriately in the event of a submission or potentially
hazardous situation. It is the referee’s sole discretion to either award a victory after the stoppage or to issue a penalty and restart the match.
15. Scoring Points- Points will be awarded for various moves and/or advantage-
ous positions achieved during the duration of the regulation match. In order
to receive points for the movement and/or position, the competitor must show
control of their opponent while in said position.
Takedown- 2 points
Side Control- 2 points
Knee on Stomach- 2 points
Sweep from Guard- 2 points
Mount- 4 Points
Rear Mount ( min. both leg hooks and 1 arm underhook)- 4 Points
Note: Points may be scored in an offensive manner only while securing a more dominate or natural progression of movement. Example- Side control 2-points to knee on the stomach 2-points to mount 4-points to rear mount 4-points. A competitor may not voluntarily change to a lesser scoring position simply to score additional points. If forced to a lesser controlling position due to your opponents defense, points may be awarded at the discretion of the referee.

Adult (age 16-35) Gi & Gi-less
White belt & Beginner gi-less - 5min.
Blue belt & Advanced gi-less – 6min.
Master (age 35+)
White belt & Beginner gi-less- 4min.
Blue belt & Advanced gi-less- 5min.
All children (12 and under) & juniors (13-15) will be matched by approximate weight & experience. Matches will be 3min.

I understand that weight classes and divisions are subject to change. I understand that Shingu Fighter, Inc. does not offer refunds. In case of emergency, I hereby authorize any licensed medical personnel to perform any accepted medical procedure deemed necessary and agree to bear the expense of any such treatment. I also agree that my attendance and/or performance at the tournament may be photographed, filmed, taped and used by Shingu Fighter, Inc. and I waive compensation thereof. I have read the rules and the release above and agree to all of its terms and enter this application to complete this form.
